![]() ![]() I would like to stress that other non-MySQL-configuration related circumstances have been ruled out, and the application, although not as efficient as I would like it to be, runs perfectly on servers with similar processor/RAM etc. I apologise from the somewhat haphazard wording of this. Here's SHOW VARIABLES as shown by phpMyAdmin: PhpMyAdmin cites the size of table_cache and the key buffer, but we have already increased those beyond an acceptable level for the amount of RAM. The server has 2GB of RAM and ample disk space. We have attempted to increase the size of the query cache etc. We have actually had this issue with configuration before. The application is fairly taxing on the database but it has worked fine previously - with no modification, as I have said - and on similar servers. It is possible that my associate changed server - he did, but it should have been a higher spec than the previous server. Over the past few weeks, load has shot up on my production server (shared with an associate only who does not use MySQL as heavily as me) despite there being no modification to my PHP web application. What you’ll see is the central panel of the File Manager. Click on the File Manager icon (visible in the screenshot above) to begin. Running echo "action=quotatally&value=all" > /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue updates the usage in admin's DirectAdmin, but from what I have read that shouldn't be needed and quotas are supposed to be updated in real-time with realtime_quota=2?Ĭan someone please confirm if the above is normal, and if not, what could be causing this?Īs a last resort but not ideal, I could add the task.queue tally as a cron say every 15 minutes to get the stats for the admin user up-to-date.Although I mention cPanel, this is no case that is related to cPanel I am merely stating that we are running on a server with a combined web server and MySQL server due to lack of resources. The File Manager allows you to manage all of your sites’ files directly from within the cPanel interface rather than having to use a third-party FTP tool. The disk usage value given in the user's DirectAdmin updates correctly.īUT the disk usage value given in cat /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/user/age | grep quota and the values shown in the admin's DirectAdmin is NOT updated in real-time and can take hours to update. Repquota "/" returns up-to-date values for all users, and updates immediately.ĭoveadm quota get -u returns up-to-date email usage values, and updates immediately. when a user receives a large email or deleted emails to clear space, it can take hours for the usage stats to update. Realtime_quota=2 is enabled in DirectAdmin settings.īut usage stats are NOT being updated in real-time, at least for the admin DirectAdmin user. It displays disk space used by directories, but it does not show how much space is consumed by an individual file. This feature scans your disk to provide you a graphical overview of the Disk usage. I'm new to DirectAdmin (we're moving from cpanel) so I'm not sure what's normal with DA. cPanel Disk Usage is a very efficient way to monitor your accounts available and use disk spaces. To free up some disk space login to email account via webmail, After login to webmail, delete allunwanted mails to increase the disk. You will see a list of directories, sorted by size, biggest to smallest. Disk usage stats don't seem to be updating correctly for the admin user. First, determine which files are using too much space.
